Frequently asked
Questions, answered.
Everything people actually ask before their first booking — about the visit, about verification, about what things cost, and about listing a practice.
Booking and visits
No. HoMedi is a technology platform operated by NeXora Health Systems Private Limited that enables discovery and booking of independent, registered healthcare professionals. NeXora is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical services.
Independent, registered doctors, dentists and nurses. They are not employees of HoMedi or NeXora Health Systems, and HoMedi does not direct or supervise their clinical decisions.
HoMedi is currently launching in Hyderabad, opening locality by locality. The app tells you whether your address is inside a live area before you try to book.
HoMedi is not a blood bank. It does not store, supply, cross-match or transport blood, and it does not reserve units for you. Listed centres are independently licensed and operated. Availability is published by the centre itself on e-RaktKosh and can change within minutes — always telephone the centre to confirm before you travel. In an emergency, call 108.
No. HoMedi is not an emergency or ambulance service. In a medical emergency, call 108 or go directly to your nearest hospital.
Verification
It means a matching professional registration record was found on an available authorized or verified source. It confirms registration — it is not an endorsement or a guarantee of clinical quality, expertise, treatment or medical outcome.
Available through HoMedi means the professional has completed onboarding and accepts home visits through the app. A professional can be registry-verified without being available on HoMedi. The two are never combined into one badge.
Every result shows the date it was last verified. Registration records change, so treat that date as the point the record was accurate and check with the authority for anything critical.
Privacy and security
Your data is stored in India and protected with AES-256 encryption, both stored and in transit. HoMedi is designed to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and you stay in control: you can download your data or delete your account from the app. Online payments on HoMedi are handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway, so HoMedi never sees or stores card details. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Pricing
Booking through HoMedi is free. You pay the professional directly at the visit. HoMedi takes no share. Each professional sets their own fees and shows them on their profile before you book: a home-visit fee, which includes the basic bedside assessment (BP, pulse oximetry and a stethoscope examination) or, for a dentist, a basic oral examination; a consultation fee, only if they charge one; and any procedure, such as an injection or a dressing, at the rate on their profile, agreed with you before it is done.
Each professional sets their own home-visit fee, consultation fee and procedure rates, and shows them on their profile before you book. HoMedi does not set, publish or standardise any fee.
You pay HoMedi nothing to book, so HoMedi has nothing to refund. Anything you pay a professional is between you and the professional. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
For providers
No. You remain an independent practitioner. HoMedi does not employ you, does not supervise your clinical work and does not direct your clinical decisions.
No. Results are ordered by locality coverage and distance from the patient's address. HoMedi does not sell placement or accept bids for ranking.
About ten minutes to sign up on provider.homedi.in and add your documents, and typically three working days for us to check your registration against an authorized source.
