Know Your Doctor
Check a doctor's registration before you book.
Search by registration number, or by name with an optional year and state medical council. HoMedi looks it up against available authorized or verified sources and shows you the record it matched — nothing more, and nothing invented.
Scope
What verification does — and does not — mean.
It confirms
- A matching professional registration record exists on an available authorized source
- The registration status reported by that source at the time it was read
- The qualification and authority exactly as recorded on the register
It does not mean
- That HoMedi endorses or recommends the professional clinically
- That any treatment, expertise or medical outcome is guaranteed
- That the professional is an employee or agent of HoMedi
- That it replaces your own judgement about the care you receive
- That the information cannot have changed since it was last read
Two badges, two claims
Verified and available are not the same thing.
A professional can carry either badge without the other. HoMedi never merges them into one, because they answer different questions.
- Registry Verified
What it means
A matching professional registration record was found on an available authorized source, on the date shown with the result.
What it does not
It says nothing about clinical quality, and nothing about whether they take bookings on HoMedi.
- Available through HoMedi
What it means
The professional has completed onboarding and accepts home visits through the app.
What it does not
It is not a second opinion on their registration. That is the separate check above.
Where the data comes from
Sourced, dated, and traceable.
Every result carries the authority it came from and the date it was read, so you can check it yourself.
Authorized registers
Registration records are read from available authorized or verified sources for the relevant profession and state.
Read, not rewritten
HoMedi displays what the source returned. Fields the source did not provide are omitted rather than filled in.
Dated every time
Each result carries the date it was last verified, because register entries change over time.
About verification.
If a record looks wrong, tell us and we will re-check it against the source.
It usually means the number was entered differently from how the register stores it. Check the format on the certificate and try again, taking the number exactly as it appears. A missing match is not evidence that someone is unregistered.
Every result shows the date it was last verified. Registers change, so treat that date as the point the record was accurate and check with the authority for anything critical.
No. Verification confirms a matching registration record. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of clinical quality, expertise, treatment or medical outcome.
Yes. Registration lookup is open — it is separate from whether that professional has onboarded onto HoMedi and accepts home visits through the app.
Check first. Then book.
Look up a registration, read the record, and book a home visit with a professional near your address.
